Parking at the Roc d’Enfer Ski Station works on a first-come-first-serve basis and is free. Luckily, there are plenty of places to park, just a short walk from all the accommodation options. It only gets tricky during peak weeks, such as school holidays. However, you’ll soon find a good spot after a couple of laps around the car parks.

If you drive down to the village, you’ll find a car park next to the church and one opposite the Alba Restaurant, near the Pharmacie. There’s also quite a lot of roadside parking throughout the village. All parking in St. Jean D’aulps is free of charge.

Parking In Morzine

Most parking in Morzine town centre is paid during the winter season. Look for paid on-street parking spaces (marked as “payant”) and pay at the nearby machine (you’ll need to know your car’s number plate)

You can park free of charge for up to an hour in any BLUE parking space. However, you need to display a parking disc (which you can get free from the Tourist Office) which shows the time you arrived.

This free shuttle bus allows you to catch the Balad’Aulps Bus, which services the entire Aulps Valley and provides access to Morzine. If you head up the road to ski from Morzine, you can use the regular free shuttle bus services (known as Navettes). These run around the resort all day and drop off at the Pleney, Prodain, Nyon, Super Morzine, Ardent Telecabines, Lac Montriond and Vallee de la Manche.

This winter season’s bus timetable is available online here. You can also enquire in the Tourist Office or check the timetables at any of the bus stops. It’s worth noting that occasionally, buses stop earlier than stated on the schedule, and some reduce their service over lunchtime. Also, If you plan to arrive very early or late in the season, check the schedule, as the buses don’t always operate during these times.

Here’s a rundown of the buses available in Morzine:

  • A Bus runs between Pleney and Les Prodains for access to Avoriaz.
  • D Bus loops around Morzine’s Mas Metout area
  • E Bus services the Valley de la Manche (a lovely area for walks and snowshoeing). 
  • M Bus connects Morzine with Montriod, Lac de Montriond and the Ardent telecabine to access the Lindarets Bowl. 
  • N Bus serves the Nyon telecabine and loops around town, dropping off at the Pleney lift. 
  • P Bus runs between Morzine’s Tourist Office, Pleney telecabine and Pied de la Plagne
  • U Bus links Pleney and the Pied de la Plagne via route de la Combe a Zore and down past Promocash.

The Petit Train has now been replaced, so instead, look out for the white minibus running between the Pleney and Super Morzine lifts.
